What is Web Development? Definition, Types, and Uses

Web development is the process of building and maintaining a website. A website mockup design created by a web designer is now converted into codes and it is functional. 

Or, we can also say any web-based platform a web page, or web application that is either available on the internet or intranet falls under web development. 

It includes the following aspects such as web programming, database management, servers installation, client-side/server-side scripting, and network security configuration among other tasks.

Classification of web development – 

Frontend Development –  It refers to client-end development. Developers focus on the looks of the website or web pages.

Backend Development – It refers to the server-side of the development process. It consists of three parts the server, the application, and the database. Users don’t see this process.
