Here are the top 10 Happy Countries in the World according to the United Nations World Happiness Report 2021–
How do you measure happiness? For most people, the answer is going to be different. After all, happiness is a difficult thing to measure. However, we still know that some countries are happier than others, while some are more miserable. But how do we judge that?
Every year, the United Nations publishes its World Happiness Report naming the top 10 happiest countries in the world. Several researchers curate this list based on six areas – GDP per capita, life expectancy, social support, trust and corruption, generosity, and perceived freedom to make decisions. These six areas have been chosen for evaluation as they reflect how happy a citizen can be in his country.
Since the years 2020-2021 were affected by Covid-19, it is difficult to determine the happiness of the citizens without mentioning the government’s efforts to curb the Covid-19 pandemic. That’s why the World Happiness Report 2021 paid much-required attention to evaluate how different governments have dealt with the pandemic and its effects. After all, it is directly related to the happiness of the country and its people.
Though surprisingly, the top 10 happiest countries in the world remain the same over the years, it is still recommended to check the list and analyze the ‘secrets’ that make them happy and prosperous. It is high time we learn the right lessons from the happiest countries and start implementing them in ours.
